Jesse Lee Jones Sr.

On March 6, 2021, The Jones family lost their true hero, Jesse Lee Jones Sr, as he went home to be with our heavenly father Jesus Christ. Jesse, one of 8 siblings, was 63 years old Born June 10, 1957 in Groves, Texas and was the son of the late Sidney Jones and Sadie Jones Crider. He was a longtime resident of Vidor, Texas. He would raise a family of his own. Jesse was a dedicated employee for many years at Industrial Pipe and Valve in Port Arthur, Texas. He spent his free time coaching his sons and watching them and his grandsons play in various sports games, going to the casino, watching old western movies and enjoyed frequent trips to the movie theater. Jesse was always there to help friends, relatives and even strangers with any projects or work when needed. He was an absolute selfless man. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Beverly Waldron and Geraldine Odom. He is survived by his daughter, Shalissa Lyons and her husband David of Lumberton TX; his son Jesse Lee Jones Jr and his wife Brandy of Lumberton TX; Blake McLaurin and Kaleb Jones of Kirbyville TX; brothers Roger Jones of Kirbyville TX; Sterling Jones of Vidor TX; sisters, Vergie Melancon of China TX; Sharon Theis and Judy Harmon both of Vidor TX; along with 8 grandsons, Jordon Lyons, Tristin Lyons, Justin Lyons and his wife Bailey, Quincy Howard, Declin McLaurin, Malak Tazi, Owen Jones and Aden Jones. Visitation for friends and family will be at 6pm on Saturday March 13, 2021 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral Services will be at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Jesse will be laid to rest at the Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor following the funeral.
