Lady Pirates fall to LCM, Bridge City

Friday, the Vidor Lady Pirates hosted the LCM Lady Bears and came away with a 6-2 loss. LCM opened the scoring with three runs in the top of the sixth inning and Vidor answered with a run in the bottom half on an Avery Harrington single to right. She advanced to third on an LCM error and scored on a Natalie Morrison single.

Lady Pirate Soccer set new records in 2024 with trip to Regional Finals

It has become something of a tradition, with Vidor’s Lady Pirate Soccer in the playoffs for 15 consecutive years, 14 of those under Fields’ leadership, but this year, the Lady Pirates went well beyond earlier appearances that advance to the Regional quarterfinals three times. This year, the Lady Pirates fought their way into the Regionals championship match before falling to district nemesis Lumberton 1-0.

Lady Pirates overwhelm WOS and Silsbee

The Vidor Lady Pirates have been giving their bats a workout, scoring 35 runs over the past two games while allowing just three. They defeated WOS 19-1 last week when Sophia Aguirre had six RBIs on two hits.

Pirates compete at Silsbee meet

The Vidor Pirate and Lady Pirate track teams participated in the Silsbee track meet last week with the boys team finishing in 5th place and the girls’ team in 6th. Earning points in the meet were: Boys Team Discus: Laughlin, 6th 125’ 3.5 High Jump: Villadsen, 1st 6’ 6” 800: Chandler, 4th, 2:08.54 Pole Vault: Maines, 3rd, 10’6” 110 hurdles: Richards, 1st, 15.35; Moree, 2nd, 16.52 300 hurdles: Richards, 1st, 41.77; Stacy, 2nd, 42.07 Mile Relay: 3rd, 3:46.29 Girls Team Discus- Powell, 2nd, 97’- 8”; Grass, 5th.

Pirates defeat LCM 1-0

The Vidor Pirates scored one run in the bottom of the first inning and held on to defeat the Bears 1-0 Thursday. Aiden Sims was on the mound for Vidor, allowing no runs on three hits, striking out six and walking two.
